Movie Review - Total Recall (2012) Nov 24th 2012, 02:05 I was never a huge fan of the original Total Recall so almost deliberately avoided this remake. However I was on a flight from Auckland to Melbourne and there weren't a lot of alternatives so Total Recall it was. I actually enjoyed it much more than I thought I would - although there's some variations from the original on the plot, the basic premise is the same: the best double-agent is the one that doesn't even know that he is a double-agent. Colin Farrell is pretty watchable in this, Jessica Biel doesn't have a lot to do, Bill Nighy is Bill Nighy (which is always good), and Kate Beckinsale's career continues to be a guilty pleasure for everyone.
