Escape from Planet Earth star Jessica Alba and her 4-year-old daughter Honor enjoyed a girls’ day out in West Hollywood, Calif. on Monday (February 18). They first stopped by a friend’s house for a visit. Out of courtesy, the polite pair took off their shoes before entering the posh residence.
Later, the fashionable duo headed to Planet Nails for a matching mother-daughter mani-pedi. What a fun way to enjoy President’s Day!
Fellow celebrity mom, Wendell & Vinnie star Nicole Sullivan, was recently quoted as saying celebrity moms like Jessica are lying about their post-baby weight loss.
"I felt bad, because I don't know Jessica Alba at all,” Nicole elaborated with Celebrity Baby Scoop.
“What I was saying – and stand behind – is that in all these magazines, you see all these thin people with headlines like, Four Weeks After Baby, Six Weeks Post-Baby, Two Months Post-Baby. It's an unrealistic goal to ask people to do that,” Nicole said.
“These celebrities sometimes flippantly say, 'I lost the weight by just chasing after the kids!' It's not realistic and it's not how it happened. It makes regular moms dismayed and saddens them and makes them think, 'Oh gosh, if they all can do it, why can't I?'”
Nicole added: “In reality, most of them have a meal plan, a personal trainer, and so many things at their disposal that regular moms don't have. That's why I think the magazines are especially hurtful. All they show are these results and they don't show the reality that they have a lot of things and a lot of cash at their disposal to help them lose weight."
